History of Magtech Ammunition

Magtech has been manufacturing ammunition since 1926. It is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil with facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Hamburg, Germany. The ammunition is manufactured in Brazil and shipped across the world. Magtech is known for consistent, quality ammunition that is at a good price point. This ammunition is sold in over 50 countries around the world and Magtech ammunition is the choice of over 20 police agencies in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Magtech makes all of their own components for their ammunition. Some other manufacturers buy these components to produce their own ammunition, and still other Magtech components are sold to reloaders for private use. The calibers they produce for the civilian market that range from .22 to .500 S&W Magnum. The shotgun shells that are produced include: 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, and .410 bore. Magtech also makes munitions for the Brazilian military that include 7.62mm, 5.56 mm, .50 BMG and larger calibers as well. Their production capabilities also extend to production of gun parts and entire firearms for other brands. This includes barrel forging and CNC machining.

Magtech produces ammunition for a multitude of shooters, from sport shooting, to hunting and self defense, Magtech has ammunition for virtually any use. With the rapid increase in Cowboy Action Shooting, Magtech has ammunition designed specifically to specifications written by the Single Action Shooting Association (SASS). They also manufacture unprimed shotshell brass for those shooters who demand authenticity in their ammunition.

Magetch is at the head of the pack when it comes to keeping things clean at the range. The CleanRange ammunition uses Fully Encapsulated Bullets and lead free primers to eliminate airborne lead. This also gives the shooter a much cleaner gun at the end of a shooting session and a cleaner environment at the shooting range.

The solid copper hollow point bullet is one of the most innovative bullets offered by Magtech. Instead of using a lead core, copper jacketed bullet (SCHP), a solid copper bullet will not tear off of the lead core as a jacketed bullet will. This tearing off of the core results in loss of projectile weight and bullet expansion that decreases transference of energy into the target. This bullet has been used in both the hunting and self defense ammunition Magtech makes.

With its consistently high quality and affordable ammunition, Magtech will remain the choice of shooters around the world.
